The CPI London Print Shop in London has wide range of in-house finishing machinery. We can finish nearly every print project in-house enabling very fast turnarounds, many can be completed same day.
Lamination
Laminating can drastically improve the aesthetics of a finished piece of artwork while also increasing the strength and durability. Gloss, matt and soft touch lamination have their own unique look and feel which can enhance your print item.
Ensure you make the best first impression to your clients. The thin coating of plastic lamination film will enhance to appearance of leaflet and feel very special. The laminate gives the card a smooth sheen finish and will be far more durable and long lasting compared to standard finish which is great for items that endure wear and tear such and restaurant menus and price lists.
In addition, lamination on folded leaflets, brochures and booklet covers has the benefit to of stopping the paper stock and ink from cracking and have an unwanted roughened finish.
We offer three types on lamination finish:
Matt Laminated Leaflets:
This process gives an elegant and sophisticated finish. Matt laminate has a gentle sheen and produces a more natural, softer look and feel, compared to gloss lamination. Moreover, this finish tends to lower the deepness of darker colours and hence give a subtle impression.
Gloss Lamination:
The high gloss and shiny surface will give your business card very high impact. Consequently, text and images will appear sharper and crisp, whilst also lifting colours with more contrast.
Soft Touch Lamination:
This is a luxury finish with the same soft appearance as matt lamination but with the added feature of a velvet feel, therefore making handling the leaflet a very pleasant and tactile experience for your customer.

Foiling
Our stunning digital metallic foils and eye-catching shiny white can really make an impact. This versatile method of foiling can bring an elegance and luxurious feel to menus, wedding invitations, greeting cards, brochures, book covers, business cards, certificates and leaflets.
Our foiling technology and lamination is far more affordable and faster than traditional methods. Foiling and lamination is available on silk, uncoated business card board and Trucard paper stocks over 250gsm.
Folding
For folded leaflets we provide a full range of folding options requirements including standard 4 page single fold, 6 page concertina and roll fold to custom complex 8 page folds.
Creasing
Printing on heavier paper stocks over 250gsm usually require creasing or scoring before being folded to ensure an accurate and professional finish, otherwise the print will crack and have a damaged, rough appearance. Afterwards we either fold the item or supply it flat if no other process is required.

Encapsulation
Encapsulation is often confused and described as lamination. The process involves placing a single page document between two pieces of polyester film that are then sealed on all sides using heat. The is thicker the lamination film and often has a clear edge if film around the outside of the document. Although not weather proof, it can be used outside for short-term signage. Encapsulation is frequently used to protect printed item that are handled frequently such as posters, plans, menus, maps, charts. We can encapsulate any size for A7 to A1 size.
Document Perforating
Perforation provides the ideal solution, when there is a requirement for a tear away portion of a printed item. A thin line of tint holes is punched into the paper allowing it to be easily torn away. The perforated sheets can simply be torn from a ticket book, invoice pad or a return information slip on a leaflet.
Padding
Notebooks, NCR Sets, receipts, forms, invoices and delivery notes are often supplied as pads. Padding is when individual sheets are glued together on one edge and can be easily pulled away as required. Notepads are often utilised as promotional items when printed with a logo or promotional message. A5 to A3 pads
Drilling/Hole Punching
We can punch or drill holes into your printed document. As well as the traditional 2 and 4 hole punching we have the flexibility to drill any number of holes in any position. Single hole drilling is available for gift tags.
Hand Finishing
On occasion, when there is no suitable machinery to carry out certain tasks, it is required to finish items by hand. In these instances we are able to carry out the work in house or organise additional help as required. Typical hand finishing tasks can be manually collating and assembly of multi-part marketing packs into presentation folders or complex hand folded items.
Occasionally we may use other specialist finishing companies for very large or complex orders. We know our choice of specialist will take the same care, pride and attention to detail as we do to deliver the perfect item.
